Resetting a Cellular non-OBD Tracker

How to reset a Cellular non-OBD tracker

To reset an Non-OBD tracker:

  • First, locate the tracker (note that the location on the map represents the tracker’s last known location, which might not be current if the tracker is having issues).
  • After locating the tracker, disassociate it from the asset per the normal process (if associated).

  • To reset the device, hold the device length-wise to read the ID number and locate the two (unlit) lights on the left hand side of the tracker (one at the top, and one at the bottom).
  • One finger width away from the bottom light, take a magnet and set it on top of the tracker, over the ID number.  You will see the top light flash to let you know the tracker is alive.
  • Continue holding the magnet over the device for another 10 seconds. The magnet must be held perfectly still for the full 10 seconds.
  • If the reset was successful, the green bulb will light up, staying solid for several seconds.  If the green light does not appear, repeat the magnet reset process three more times.
  • Once the reset is successful (the green light appears), take the tracker outdoors, within range of the gateway.
  • Check the status of the tracker again in the system.
