Learn how to view & edit vehicle details and view events using the Logistics Mobile App.
Open to the map screen and use any of the filter or search options to locate a specific vehicle within the app. If you are located with the vehicle, use the barcode scanner and scan the vehicle tag to streamline vehicle location within the app.
When the vehicle icon shows on map, select the icon to display Vehicles tab. Swipe or scroll up to see additional vehicle details. Swipe down to close the details tab.
If using filter or search results in a large volume of vehicles, use the List to locate the appropriate vehicle ID. Use the carat for the vehicle to open the Vehicle Details tab on the map (as shown above).
The Vehicle Details window contains information about the vehicle including make, model, VIN, color, asset ID and any other custom fields that have been set up in your system. Scroll the window to see additional car details fields.
The yellow tag icon displays the last four (4) digits of the vehicle’s tag number; refer to the Tag ID in the window below for the full number. The tag ID may not be changed except through detaching and attaching a new tracker.
When a vehicle has a status of Lost Signal, the map will show a yellow broken wifi signal icon and the Zone/Building in Vehicle Details tab will state Not Located with the last check in date.
From Vehicle Details, manage vehicle tasks, subscribe to the vehicle, view vehicle events, or display the navigation information.
Editing Vehicle Details
Custom fields may be edited and are indicated by the pencil icon. Select the icon for the
field you need to edit.
Either input a new value or select from a list of previously entered attributes for that category.
When inputting a new value, select Done on the mobile device keyboard to return to the vehicle details input screen. The new value is saved and displayed. Select the green checkmark icon to save the vehicle change and return to the Vehicle Details tab.
More extensive vehicle changes should be made through the Cognosos portal.
Upon return to the Vehicle Details tab, you can subscribe or navigate to the vehicle; set up a task; or use the back arrow to return to the map and proceed from there.
Viewing Vehicle Events
Open Vehicle Details screen and select Events. All historical events for the vehicle will
display in date/time order starting with the most recent.
Use Event Type to select event such as a change in location, lost signal, change in tag status. You may choose one or multiple event types. Choose Apply when complete to filter the event listing.
To specify a time range in which to filter use the Dates option. Use the date range option either as its own filter or in conjunction with an event type(s). Select one of the pre-configured ranges (e.g., this week, last 30 days) or put in a custom date range. Choose Apply.
Use Clear All for the Type and/or Dates to clear all the chosen filters. You will need to do this for Type and/or Date to refresh fully to all events.
