Installing a LoRa Gateway

To install a LotVision gateway:

  • First, make sure you have all of the components that came with the gateway. You should have:
    • The gateway itself
    • 2 antennas
    • 2 antenna adapters
    • 1 GPS antenna
    • 1 GPS antenna cable
    • 1 GPS antenna holder
    • 2 Ethernet cables
    • 1 power supply box
    • 1 power cable
    • Optional mounting kit
  • Attach the antenna adapters to the corresponding ports on the gateway by twisting clockwise until tight.
  • Attach the antennas to the antenna adapters in the same way. The antennas should be angled upwards for optimal performance.
  • Place the GPS antenna in the GPS antenna holder
  • Attach one end of the GPS antenna cable to the GPS antenna, and attach the other to the corresponding port on the gateway.
  • Attach the GPS antenna holder to a window by pressing the base of it against the glass of the window, then turning the handle located near the base of the holder.
  • Plug one end of one ethernet cable into the port on the power supply box labeled "Data & Power Out". Plug the other end of this cable into the ethernet port on the gateway.
  • Plug one end of the remaining ethernet cable into the port on the power supply box labeled "Data In". Plug the other end of this cable into your internet source (your router, switch, cellular modem, etc.).
  • Plug the power cable into the power supply box.
  • Finally, plug the remaining end of the power cable into a standard outlet.
