Installing an OBD Tracker

How to install an OBD tracker into a vehicle

You will need to install trackers whenever a vehicle enters your inventory.

To install an OBD tracker into a vehicle:

  • Start by locating the vehicle’s OBD port. It is usually located on the driver's side under the dashboard.
  • Push the tracker gently, but firmly, into the port.

  • Listen out for a beep, and check the tracker for a green light.
  • If you hear or see either indicator, the device has been successfully installed.
  • If Auto Association is enabled at your site, start the vehicle and leave idle for 15-20 seconds.

Note: If you do not hear a beep or see the green light, the device has not been properly installed. Carefully remove it using the key and try again (using the key is important to avoid damaging the tracker - do not simply pull it out of the port).
