Using Search & Filters to Locate Vehicles

The Logistics Mobile App provides several methods for looking up groups of vehicles or a single vehicle using both search and filter features.

Search via Barcode Scanner

The barcode scanner provides a fast method for looking up vehicle details and setting up vehicle alerts when you are physically with the automobile that you need to look up on the mobile app. If you need to locate a vehicle in another part of the facility, use one of the other filter or search options.

Search for a Single Vehicle

Use this option if you want to quickly locate a specific vehicle using a unique identifier (e.g., VIN or tag number) and you know the information.

Open the app and select the Search icon on the bottom.

Input the identifying information in the search bar at the top of the Use Filters screen (alphanumeric characters) and tap search on the app's keyboard. If you've put in a full and matching criteria, just the single vehicle will show. If you've done the search with partial information that matches several vehicles, the results may return a list.

A variety of filter options provide a fast method for filtering groups of vehicles that meet the same or similar criteria. You can use a single category or combine selections within categories.

  • Saved Filters - Filter criteria that have been run and saved on the Cognosos portal by the logged in user

  • Zone - The best way to check exit zones and a fast way to review zone inventory

  • Parking Decks - Selection of parking decks (if used)

  • Attributes - Additional list of attributes that can be used to create new filter searches (alone or in combination with any other search options above)

When using any of the above filter options, select the category (e.g., Zone). Then make one or more selections underneath. You can make multiple category selections and multiple selections under each category. Choose Apply.
