[On Spot](https://support.cognosos.com/knowledge/finished-vehicle-logistics-auctions?hsLang=en#on-spot) # Setting Up & Managing OnSpot Definitions & Mappings ## Steps for creating & editing definitions and mappings for OnSpot reporting. To access existing definitions, open the System Management page (bell icon or hamburger menu). Select Application Settings from the menu. Click the **OnSpot** option under My Applications. **![App Settings OS option under System Management](https://support.cognosos.com/hs-fs/hubfs/FVL%20AA%20Graphics/App%20Settings%20OS%20option.png?width=688&height=288&name=App%20Settings%20OS%20option.png)** ***Creating Definitions & Mappings*** Users with Administrator rights may create new OnSpot definitions. Select **Add** and name the new definition. Click **Save**. Although saved, the mappings need to be created to complete the OnSpot definition. Mapping creates a link between a subset of vehicles and a condition that these vehicles should meet to be considered on-spot. STEP 1:  Select the link in the Name column to complete mappings. Use the carats to open and close each of the categories and make your selection(s). The Selected values column populates with the chosen attributes. Clear a single value with the **X** next to that item. To remove all selections choose **Clear**; **Cancel** to return to OnSpot Settings page for the selected OnSpot definition. For example, the vehicles will be on-spot when they are in a specific zone or meet a certain condition. Use carats to open/close the categories and make your selections. Clear a single value with the Xnext to that item. To remove all selections choose **Clear**;**Previous** to return to step 1; **Cancel** to return to OnSpot Settings page for the selected OnSpot definition. Input the mapping name (required). Optionally enter a description.  Changes to the mapping and definitions may also be made directly from this window. Remove any selected value by clicking the **X** next to that value. Add new values by opening the category and making selection(s). To return to step 2, choose **Previous**; to finalize the new mapping select **Save**. Otherwise, follow the same steps to add additional mappings to this definition. After complete, the OnSpot definition may be accessed from the OnSpot menu in the Dashboard, Map, and in My Lot. ***Editing + Deleting Mappings or Definitions*** Remove an OnSpot definition entirely by placing a checkmark next to the name and clicking **Delete**. The button will remain grayed out until only one definition is checked. Be sure you want to take this action before you delete the OnSpot definition. A small confirmation window appears confirming the definition was deleted.  ![Delete OS Def on spot definition delete option](https://support.cognosos.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Delete%20OS%20Def.png?width=688&height=126&name=Delete%20OS%20Def.png) To make changes to the mappings nested underneath an OnSpot definition, select the OnSpot name link in the Name column. The mappings are listed.  Click **Add** to create a new mapping for this definition. To remove a particular mapping from the OnSpot definition, select the checkbox for that mapping and click **Delete**.
