Learn how Subscriptions can be used to follow vehicle activities.
A subscription provides a mechanism for users to follow vehicle activities. Click the bell icon on the top right portal menu; click Subscriptions to open the tab. The Subscriptions tab shows both subscriptions created here (which are for all vehicles) and subscriptions that are set up for single vehicles using the Follow Vehicle option described in the "Tracking Vehicles" article within the Trailer & YMS section.
The tab displays a row for each subscription and notification medium defined (there is a row for email and row for phone number even when they are the same subscription). Sort the Subscription Date column in ascending or descending order; sort the Notification Medium column in alphanumeric ascending/descending order.
The Notification Source column indicates the type of notification or subscription:
Asset: Single vehicle, all zones
Zone: All vehicles, single zone
Asset/Zone: Single vehicle, specific zone
From this tab users may add subscriptions and delete subscriptions.
Adding Subscriptions
Unlike single-vehicle subscriptions that are created directly from the Vehicles page, subscriptions set up here are for all vehicles, either in all or a specific zone(s). You can also set up subscriptions for a specific zone from the My Lot Zones tab, shown later in this section.
To create a new subscription select Subscribe on the Subscriptions menu.
The Create Subscription window opens where the subscription type, timeline, and medium are defined. The left side of the window displays a timeline indicator for the subscription set up steps.
Remove any zone by selecting the X next to the zone.
For first time subscribers, Amazon Web Services sends a confirmation email to confirm email delivery of subscriptions. The confirmation must be responded to in order to receive the subscription notifications.
Following the submit, the subscriptions list refreshes with the new subscription added to the top of the page. There is a line for each zone and each delivery method in the subscription, as shown below.
To set up a subscription for a zone from the My Lot Zones tab, locate and select the specific zone. Click Subscribe in the Zones menu.
Enter the times and delivery medium(s) as described above and submit to add zone subscription.
Deleting Subscriptions
Remove subscriptions that are no longer necessary directly from the subscriptions list, no matter the origin of the subscription (Subscriptions or Vehicle Details from My Lot). Locate the subscription to remove and select the checkbox for that row. Click Delete from the Subscriptions menu. You may select only one subscription at a time otherwise the Delete button will gray out.
A small pop-up will appear stating the subscription was successfully deleted and the list will refresh.
