Using Search & Filter to Locate Assets

How to use search & filters to find an asset within the Healthcare iOS mobile app.

If your search or filter results do not yield expected assets, ensure your user profile is not associated with a specific Department. Department assignments will limit asset views. If your user profile is set to Guest, search results are also limited to assets defined in the user profile settings.   

Use any of the search or filter options alone or in combination to locate the asset(s) you need.  

Search for Single Asset by Unique Identifier

Use the search bar on the Assets screen to locate a single asset by asset ID or tag number.

Enter the numeric value of either the asset or tag ID. The list will refresh; return of assets becomes more refined as search criteria is input.

When the appropriate asset displays, select that asset to view more information about
that asset.

Select the carat to close the asset details.

If no asset or tag is found with that ID associated to it, the app will display a ‘No Assets Found’ message. If attributes for the asset need to change, use the Cognosos portal. 

Clear search by selecting X in search field.

Search for Assets by Type

Search for a group of assets by asset type (e.g., PCU module, feeding pump, syringe pump, etc.) 

Use phone keyboard to input the kind/type of asset in the Search bar. When typing pauses or ends, the screen refreshes with matching assets. You may not need to enter the entire value before seeing the asset type for which you are searching.

Select the carat to close the asset details. Clear search by selecting X in search field.

Changes to asset attributes must be made through the Cognosos portal.

 

 

 

 

Search for Single Asset Using Scanner

Use the barcode scanner to scan the actual asset to input the value. This option should be utilized when you are physically with the asset.

Select the Barcode icon on Assets list. Point your device's camera to the Cognosos tag on the asset or the tag.

The Assets screen displays the asset. Select to view asset details. Select the carat to close the asset details. Clear search by selecting X in search field.

Changes to asset attributes must be made through the Cognosos portal.

Search for Assets Using Filters

Use filters to search for a group of assets (across the facility) or assets located within a certain zone. Select the Filters option from the Assets screen to open.

The number values represent the number of asset types defined in the system and number of zones defined across all buildings. Use the carat to open the Asset Type and Zone lists and make filter selections.

Filter Asset TypeCheck one or more assets on which to filter. If only filtering assets, select Apply Filter. The Asset Type value displays the number of selected asset types and total asset types. If filtering on assets within a specific zone or set of zones, select the carat next to Asset Type to close that filter list and open the zone filter list.

De-select any asset if needed. Select Clear All to remove all asset type filters. Once all assets have been chosen, click Apply Filter. Note that the button displays the number of selected assets.

 

 

If filtering on assets within a specific zone or set of zones, close the Asset Types list and open the Zones list.

Filter ZoneSelect one or more zones on which to filter (with or without asset types). Use carat to close zone list (you may need to scroll up to top of list for carat to return to view).

When all selections are complete, select Apply Filter. Note that the button displays the number of selected zones. The app will return a list of assets meeting the filter criteria.

 

 

 

Return to the Filters screen and select Clear All under the Assets and/or Zones lists to remove all filters.

If you need to view or save a new filter, use the Cognosos portal.
